The JET Programme advances international exchange between Japan and 36 other countries. Each year, hundreds of university graduates from across the Globe travel to Japan to teach TEFL in schools and colleges located mainly in rural destinations, or to support international relations for government institutions anywhere, from Hokkaido to Okinawa. 

Over 25 years old, JET is one of the world's largest and most successful grassroots exchange programs. More than 3,000 JET participants live across Japan at any given time. Highly respected for their community service and capacity to build formative, lasting relations with their neighbors, associates, students and peers, many elect to remain on the program for three years or more.

JETAANA continues to advance JET's goals of mutual understanding, co-operation and bilateral exchange between Canada and Japan.
